About Friends of Malton

📣 We are the Friends of Malton— a Collective of individuals bound by shared history, faith, and the memories that shaped us. More than just an alumni group of the former Malton Church of God, we are a living testament to the friendships, lessons, and spirit that once filled those walls.

⚠️This is more than nostalgia; it’s a homecoming. A space where past and present meet, where stories are cherished, and where the bonds of family remain unshaken. Whether you walked those halls decades ago or just want to reconnect with the heart of what made them special, you belong here.‼️

🙏🏾💚Welcome back. Welcome home.

Our Story

For over 20 years, the Malton Church of God was more than just a building; it was a home. It was where we were baptized, where we raised our children, where we discovered our faith, and where we built lifelong friendships and family. Founded in 1977 by Brother Beresford Sommerville and Sister Sybil Sommerville, and under the visionary leadership of Pastor Huel Wilson and First Lady Clementina Wilson, our church was a cornerstone of the Malton community.

Today, we, the alumni of Malton Church of God, have come together as "Friends of Malton." We are a community group born from the deep roots of our shared history. Many of us were born and raised within these walls, serving on various committees, participating in countless services, and witnessing the power of faith in action.

"Friends of Malton" is a testament to the enduring bonds we formed and the lasting impact of our beloved church. We are committed to preserving the spirit of community, service, and fellowship that defined our time at Malton Church of God. Join us as we continue to connect, support, and uplift one another, carrying forward the legacy of love and faith that shaped us all.
